Let's see, let's see...
Had some wicked tasty Thai food a few days back. Jeremy, Serge, and myself went to Taste of Thailand for dinner. I had yellow curry with chicken mmmmmm.
Bummed around over the weekend and got some of my stuff situated around the apartment. The plan today was to go to West and talk to someone there about the application I filled out online. Their automated email said I was granted 'no wait' status since everything was already filled out through the intarwebz. Woke up today with a killer headache and some maintenance guys showed up shortly thereafter to monkey around with the air conditioner.
That's my boring update.

So Omaha isn't working out as smoothly as I was hoping. Of course, I can't remember the last time I went through a 'major' change and something didn't fuck up in the process.
The Paypal thing didn't work out. Evidently, having unpaid medical bills (unpaid because you were in the hospital and not working) means you're going to steal everyone's credit card information. Ugh. I've got my resume out to a couple more places, waiting to hear back after the weekend.
Had dinner Wednesday at Jared and Jenny's. Grilled hamburgers and 'dogs then played Carcasonne all night. Thursday we went to the Huber Haus for some tasty, tasty beverages. I had some Burger King beforehand and evidently that filled me right up because my belly could hardly hold any beer! Travesty!
That's a boot. Two liters of Spaten goodness.
Been talking to some of my Nebraska friends a bit more. Waiting for schedules to settle down. I've got BBC's Planet Earth series to keep me occupied, in the meantime. And all the Memphisian drama I hear about.

01:08 am - In Omeeha.
So I'm in Omaha. The drive was uneventful (thankfully) and tiring. Time to do a late night Wal Mart run to buy some dress pants since I couldn't find my old ones, sigh.
Last day at work was pretty sweet (for work), Nedra gave us a 2 hour long team meeting. Sort of a little going away party for me, everyone else brought food and we played games. That is, after Nedra extolled my virtues to the whole team lol :D
I'm beat and need some sleep for my interview tomorrow.
Oh yeah, wtf @ a girl at work asking me 'so this would be a bad time to tell you I had a crush on you?' when she found out I was moving. Dot dot dot.

03:34 am - a good day
Today was actually a good day. Woke up, wasn't really that tired. Weather was nice, listened to more Rilo Kiley on the way to work. Work was okay, it's better with the knowledge that I have under a week of it left. On my first break, I decide to check my phone. I had a voicemail from a lady who works for the consulting company that Paypal, in Omaha, uses for their tech support. She saw the resume that I sent to Jared and called to touch base. There's two positions open, one through Paypal and another with Alegent (a healthcare company). Both are help desk type positions, anyways. She's forwarded my info to Alegent and then sent me some paperwork for the Paypal position. I've also got an interview next week, woot.
Work has been full of 'what what in the butt' jokes and drawing pictures of cats for Mary Beth. A good way to pass the time ;) I also get to spend all day teasing Amy about her and Matt. lol
So I get home and start to fill out this paperwork...then, oh shit, where did my list of previous jobs and stuff go? Ooops. lol, time to wrack my brain to remember some manager from 5 years ago. John something...argh.

I actually worked a complete shift tonight! Woah.
Came home and started getting stuff situated for the move. Started by cleaning my room and packing up some stuff I know I won't be using before I move.

So this is my last fully free weekend before I move. Bumming around the house tonight... Just found out a few days ago that I won't be able to cut during my last week of work! OMG - actually working my full shift? Whatever will I do?! Here's my tentative plan (tentative because I usually make plans to do important shit and then decide last minute that I want to go hang out somewhere, watch a movie, etc): go to work, come home and sift through stuff to decide what to take to Nebraska, what to leave here, and what to junk. Repeat until finished or until it's time to leave.
Mary Beth surprised me with the best muffins I've ever had. I'm not a chocolate fan at all but damn. Smooth and mellow instead of in your face screaming, 'I'm chocolate, mother fucker! Eat me!'
And kudos to my friend Jenna for bringing Rilo Kiley (back?) to my attention.
